Cine Ciak nasce dalla passione per la Settima Arte portata avanti da diversi collezionisti che hanno deciso di riunire parte delle loro immense collezioni in un museo aperto al pubblico.  Cine Ciak raccoglie solo una minima parte degli articoli delle diverse collezioni e per questo motivo, periodicamente, alcune stanze dell'esposizione verranno cambiate, inserendo nuovi articoli e scenografie.
